Lord Nelson Mass

On Sunday, April 6 at 7:30PM, the combined choirs of
Chestnut Hill College and the First United Methodist Church of
Germantown (FUMCOG) will present a concert featuring "Lord Nelson Mass"
of Joseph Haydn.  The ensembles will be accompanied by the Fairmount
Chamber Orchestra.  The concert will take place at Chestnut Hill
College, in the Rotunda of St. Joseph Hall.  Several soloists will also
join the forces, including Marcy Richardson, soprano and Jonathan Sills,
baritone.  Richardson has been given rave reviews for her opera
appearances in New York City with her "clear and peeling tone."  Sills,
an Oberlin College graduate has performed both locally and nationally to
great acclaim.

Kevin O'Malia, the Director of Music at FUMCOG and
adjunct faculty at Chestnut Hill College, will conduct the ensemble. Mr.
O'Malia has toured as an organist internationally, and he directs
several choirs regionally.  He  holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in
Music, with honors, from Westminster Choir College of Rider University,
and is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the
Royal School of Church Music in America (RSCM) and the American Guild
of Organists (AGO), serving as a frequent clinician for these
associations.  The concert is free and open to the public.  For more
