Introduction to the Sustainable Trails Initiative & Trail Work in Wissahickon Valley Park with David Dannenberg

This workshop will introduce participants to the Sustainable Trails Initiative (STI), a multi-stage commitment by FOW to help make the 50 miles of natural-surface National Recreation Trails in Wissahickon Valley Park an environmentally and socially sustainable system that works for all park users. The focus will be on the placement and design of the trails and how these effect the water quality of Wissahickon Creek, and will include a tour of some of FOW's completed sustainable multi-use trail projects throughout the park. (This
workshop  is required to participate in work days as an FOW Volunteer Crew
Leader.)  Registration is required for participation in this class.
