Before there was Glee, there was Germantown Friends School A Cappella Fest! Every year Fest features local high school and college singers performing diverse selections of a cappella music. This year there will be two shows: the shorter Friday Fest on February 8, and the main event on Saturday, February 9. The Friday night show (7-8:30 p.m.) will feature the Penn Charter Quaker’s Dozen, the Baldwin B-Flats, the Temple OwlCappella and GFS A Cappella. The Saturday show (8-10:30 p.m.) will showcase the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Hilltones, the Penn Charter Quaker’s Dozen, the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Laurelei, the Keystone State Boychoir Grads, the Tufts Amalgamates and GFS A Cappella.
Both shows will be held in the Loeb Performing Arts Center at GFS, 31 W. Coulter Street, Philadelphia, PA 19144. Tickets are $10 for Friday’s show and $12 for Saturday’s.
