FIVE FRIDAYS: Kristin Lee (violin) and Lionel Cottet (cello)

The third concert in this recital series takes place in Saint Paul’s  parish hall (owing to renovation in the sanctuary).  Each Five Fridays concert includes a wine reception and chance to greet the artists. All proceeds benefit Face-to-Face Germantown and the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Northwest Philadelphia.

Kristin Lee is recognized one of the most accomplished artists of her generation, and enjoys a vibrant career as soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. Since her explosive concerto debut with Orchestra Atlanta at the age of 10, she has appeared as soloist with major orchestras throughout the U.S. and abroad, and has appeared in the world’s finest halls. An accomplished chamber musician, Ms. Lee has shared the stage with many of the world’s foremost artists, including Itzhak Perlman, Franz Helmerson, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Roberto Díaz, and the Orion String Quartet.  The recipient of numerous honors and prizes, Ms. Lee earned a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Itzhak Perlman and Donald Weilerstein.

Born in Geneva in 1987, cellist Lionel Cottet debuted in London’s Wigmore Hall, and has performed as a soloist with orchestras throughout Europe.  Mr. Cottet’s passion for chamber music has taken him throughout Europe, to the Chopin Festival in Poland, the Olympus Festival in St. Petersburg, and the Sommets Musicaux in Gstaad, among others. He has also developed a deep interest in modern music and performs a wide repertoire of contemporary pieces, both as a soloist and a chamber musician. He currently studies with Joel Krosnick at The Juilliard School.

Kristen Lee and Lionel Cottet are represented by Astral Artists.
