Birding at Alverthorpe and Lorimer Parks

Led by Ruth Pfeffer
Join us on a visit to Alverthorpe and Lorimer, two beautiful parks in nearby Abington Township, and two great locations for fall birding. Our focus will be migrating songbirds but we will also see resident birds that live in our area year-round. The parks feature a variety of great bird habitats including a lake and many sprawling acres with walking trails through woodlands and fields. Bring your binoculars. Ruth will help us with identification skills. Meet Ruth at Alverthorpe Park. The park entrance is on Forest Avenue between Fox Chase and Jenkintown Roads.
