Birdie Busch/National Picnic performance and trunk show

Creative sisters collaborate for a Chestnut Hill performance/trunk show at the Bohemian Pink shop

Birdie Busch is a Philadelphia recording artist. Betsy Cook is a local fashion designer with her own clothing line, National Picnic. They are sisters. The two will be appearing on November 19th in Chestnut Hill with a performance-slash-trunk show at Bohemian Pink, a pop-up shop on Germantown Avenue.

This isn't the first time the sisters have mixed song and style. Years ago National Picnic set up shop at the Philly Opry, an annual concert created by Birdie, at Johnny Brenda's in Fishtown. Entrepreneur Monika Schermer was there, and recently recalled the collaboration and proposed a "sister act" event at her newly opened shop.

The festivities are Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 7 – 9 pm. Attendance is FREE. Trunk show and reception begin at 7. Birdie's performance will begin at 8 pm.

National Picnic's clothing will remain on sale at Bohemian Pink through Saturday November 23.

The photo shown is Birdie Busch wearing a National Picnic cotton peasant blouse that will be sold at the event.

Birdie and Betsy look forward to spending the evening with each other and YOU, so please swing on by!
