Snowy Saturday in Chestnut Hill

The forecast says more snow could fall this afternoon.

An early morning snow dusted the region Saturday, leaving residents to wakeup to the first winder wonderland of 2012.

Germantown Avenue is  plowed, but the small streets are dicey in these cold climates. According to PhillyWeather.net, totals are in the 1 to 3 inches range.

The National Weather Service predicted a Saturday mixture of rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 2 p.m., The high was near 33 degrees, with winds blowing at about 14 mph.

The evening should clear up, but the temperatures will drop to 21, making the unplowed roads tricky.
