Philadelphia Area Under Wednesday Flood Watch With Heavy Rain in Forecast

There is a chance of snow, but no serious accumulation is expected.

The National Weather Service expects 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain, and possibly some snow, to fall Wednesday in the Philadelphia area.

The agency issued a Flood Watch advisory for Wednesday afternoon and night, advising motorists to avoid easily flooded roads next to creeks and streams.

The Delaware River is not expected to flood, but the advisory did not predict what would happen to the Schuylkill River.
