NWS Issues Excessive Heat Warning Through Wednesday

Residents are reminded to check on family and neighbors.

Summer's early appearance has prompted an excessive heat warning for the Delaware Valley through 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Mt. Holly, NJ, issued the weather advisory Tuesday as another day of 90-degree temperatures plague the region following a balmy Memorial Day.

With a reach throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the advisory warns that "hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely."
