Lincoln Drive to be Detoured Saturday

The southbound lanes will be closed for repair work.

Part of Lincoln Drive will be closed Saturday for repairs, according to an announcement from the city's Streets Department.

From 7 a.m. on June 23, until about 5 p.m., the southbound lanes of Lincoln Drive will be closed between Wissahickon Avenue and Ridge Avenue/Kelly Drive.

According to a release from the department, the closures are needed so that workers can be safe during repair work on the winding section of the drive.

For those planning on taking this route Saturday, detour signs will be posted along Wissahickon Avenue, Walnut Lane and Ridge Avenue, according to the Streets Department, and the police department will be assisting in directing traffic.

The lanes should be reopened by 5 p.m. Saturday, the release said.
