The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that will be in effect from noon until 8 p.m. today.
"A very hot and humid air mass will cause temperatues to rise into the mid-90s and create dangerous conditions," a statement from the weather service read.
The heat index could rise above 100 degrees, according to the weather service.
