Flash Flood Watch Issued for Philadelphia

The National Weather Service has issued a warning through Wednesday afternoon.

Here’s one thing not to give thanks for: the National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Philadelphia and its surrounding counties, from 10 p.m. Tuesday through 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Rainfall totals will be piling up as a system from the Ohio Valley moves through the region, the NWS said, leaving one to three inches of rain in its wake.

The NWS warned of flooding from small streams and poor drainage, and advised that roadways and basements may flood as the storm passes through.
