Excessive Heat Warning for Thursday

The warning has been set by the National Weather Service until 6 p.m.

An excessive heat warning will be in effect until Thursday night.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued the warning. Heat index values will be close to 100 degrees, according to the NWS.

The warning is expected to last until 6 p.m. Thursday, but it could remain hot through most of the weekend.

It appears that Thursday night through Friday night may be equally uncomfortable and that even hotter conditions are possible on Saturday when the temperature may soar to near 100 degrees. Sunday may be cooler, but still may top out above 90 degrees. -NWS
