T-shirt memorial to those slain by gun violence on display at UU church on Stenton Avenue and E. Gorgas Lane

"Bringing it home," is how one passerby described  the t-shirt memorial to 201 Philadelphians killed by handguns in 2013. The t-shirts, with names and the date of death, were exhibited on May 24 and are on display until June 7th.  They are displayed prominently on the front lawn of the Unitarian Universalist Church on the Restoration (UUCR) on Stenton Avenue in front of the church and on the E. Gorgas Lane next on the side of the church.

UUCR has partnered with Heeding God’s Call, a faith-based movement to prevent gun violence, in displaying the t-shirt memorial. UUCR will also be showing the film Trigger: The Ripple Effects of Gun Vilonec on Wednesday, May 28 at 7.  The film is free and open to the public.
