Clef Club Brings Jazz Vespers to Unitarian Universalist Church in East Mt. Airy

 

Members of the Philadelphia Clef Club  performed at the Jazz Vespers at the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Restoration in East Mt. Airy on Sunday night, March 16th.  The group included members from the Clef Club's intermediate youth ensemble and the Clef Club's organ group. The presiding minister quoted, scholar and author Cornel West. "To be a jazz freedom fighter is to attempt to galvanize and energize world-weary people..."  The next Jazz Vespers will be held on April 20th (Easter Sunday) at 4:30 pm. There is a ten dollar donation requested and a reception afterward with refreshments.  Restoration Church is located at 6900 Stenton Avenue (at the corner of Gorgas Lane) in Philadelphia.
