Chestnut Hill Cares Day

Where/When: Chestnut Hill’s business district along Germantown Avenue, on Sunday from noon-3pm

Why Go: Local charities will staff tables on the sidewalk in Chestnut Hill and each will offer a fun activity for children.  Carnival games, face painting, lemonade, sports and arts and crafts activities will keep kids busy.  Come have fun and support good causes like the Montgomery County Advocacy Project, Alex’s Lemonade, ConKerr Cancer, Teenagers Inc., the George Fund, and Meals on Wheels!

3-Course Dinner and Beer Pairing at Valley Green Inn for Philly Beer Week

Expect the unexpected with a special menu created by award-winning Chef Dwight Forrest and paired with Weyerbacher's best brews. The event starts with live music for a beer and cheese happy hour followed by four more courses and paired perfectly with Weyerbacher brews! The menu: V12 Pistachio and Goat Cheese Stuffed Apricot with a Clove-Honey Drizzle, Prima Pils Seared Scallops with a Jicama-Pineapple Slaw drizzled with a Citrus Vinaigrette, Scarlet Fire Rauchbier BBQ Short ribs with Cheddar Polenta and Creamed Spinach, and Mad King Weiss Brulee Bananas with a Black Pepper Caramel with Candied Lemon Zest
