Valley Green Bank Wins Small Business Award

The award was bestowed by BankingGrades.com.

will accept the 2012 Small Business Bank Award Tuesday, which was announced July 12. The award will be presented to Jay Goldstein, President and CEO of Valley Green Bank, which is given by BankingGrades.com, at the bank’s headquarters, 7226 Germantown Ave. in Mt. Airy.

Ami Kassar, founder and CEO of www.bankinggrades.com and small business lending blogger for the New York Times, will present the award, and Valley Green customers will speak about their experiences with the bank.

The Small Business Bank Award is given to a bank that receives an “A” from Banking Grades. To get that mark, a bank must use 25 percent or more of its deposits to make loans of $1 million or less.

Valley Green Bank is the largest bank in Philadelphia County to receive the 2012 Small Business Bank Award, according to a press release from Valley Green.   The bank has over $250 million in assets, over $200 million in deposits and over $80 million of small business loans under management.
