Retail Recruiter Eileen Reilly Resigns

The Chestnut Hill Business Association will be hiring a replacement.

The Chestnut Hill Business Association is looking for a new retail recruiter. Eileen Reilly, the current recruiter, formally resigned last week.

“It was my time,” Reilly said. “I came here to make a difference, not to stay for any length of time. Now it is time for someone else to take over the reins.”

Reilly has been , when she was hired to work 22 hours a week. She said it wasn’t long before she was working 40 hours, and started to feel burnt out. But Reilly plans to stay involved, both in the training of her replacement and in Chestnut Hill.

“I’m going to take over the job of conspicuous consumer of all things in Chestnut Hill. I actually am going to try to stay connected. I really did enjoy the job,” Reilly said.

While the business association finds the next Eileen Reilly, the current one will stay on as long as July 1—maybe even later as a consultant, she said—to help with the transition.

She feels optimistic, though, that whoever replaces her will be able to hit the ground running.

“The number one characteristic in this job is tenacity. Whoever comes in, they will be tenacious and probably, they won’t need me at all.”
