O'Doodles Succeeds at New Location

The toy store has a new location and some new merchandise.

With its signature bubble machine greeting customers, ’ new location has many elements of its previous location, along with a few new additions.

The move to the new location at Germantown Avenue and W Evergreen Avenue has been a success, said owner Fran O’Donnell.

“Sales are about 25% over what they were down the street,” O’Donnell said.

The O’Donnell family owns both the old and new locations.  O’Doodles moved when the new location became available.

“It definitely is a better location for the store,” O’Donnell said.

The new store includes a section with tablet cases, purses, jewelry and other items for teenagers.  There is also now a baby boutique.

“We had been hearing over the years that there was a need for newborn gifts,” O’Donnell said.

The changes are all customer driven, said O’Donnell.

“We listen to our customers.”

There will be a greater selection of children’s books.  O’Donnell plans to have local authors visit the store on Saturdays starting this September.

O’Doodles still has what O’Donnell calls the “tried and true” merchandise, which would be the toys.

As of September 1, customers will be able to sign up for a gift registry online.
