New Brunch Menu at Iron Hill

The Chestnut Hill restaurant now offers brunch.

The following is a press release from Iron Hill.

Every weekend, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (8400 Germantown Avenue, 215-948-5600) offers more ways than ever to satisfy your hunger: from a new, weekly-changing Brunch Menu to their instant-classic Pretzel Burger and hearty-yet-affordable Prime Time Sunday Suppers, there is no better place in town to enjoy a great meal – and great beer – all weekend long.

“Weekends are the perfect time to round up a group of friends and head to the brewery for a great meal and some good company,” says head chef Jared Cannon.  “And with our expanded offerings, we really do have something for everyone, whether your crew is looking to enjoy fun twists on brunch favorites or a serious burger.”

The new Brunch Menu changes every week, with the only constant being their tried-and-true Eggs Benedict and Brewer’s Hash.  Recent offerings have included:  Omelets with seasonal fillings;  Bananas Foster French Toast with maple syrup;  Fried Chicken and Egg Sandwich with buffalo-bleu cheese Hollandaise;  Lemon-Ricotta Pancakes;  and Brisket-Potato Hash.  Brunch dishes range in price from $9.95 to $12.95, and include fresh-baked muffins of the day and fresh fruit.  Children’s dishes, such as cheese omelets, mini eggs Benedicts or French toast, are all just $6.50 each.  Best of all, Iron Hill’s full menu is also available during brunch, meaning that those who prefer a sandwich or a salad can also find something to enjoy.

One perennial favorite, available during weekend brunch and also during lunch service on Fridays, is the Pretzel Burger: a premium burger patty of fresh-ground short rib and brisket, grilled to order and topped with smoked cheddar cheese, beer-braised onions and bacon, all served on a house-made pretzel roll, baked fresh daily.  The dish is a playful nod to Philadelphia’s famed soft pretzels, and is actually a classic Iron Hill dish that has been brought back at Iron Hill Chestnut Hill, during these limited hours, by tremendous popular demand.  The burger is $15.95.

Sunday is also Prime Time at Iron Hill: from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. every Sunday, the restaurant offers a weekly special of Roast Prime Rib of Beef au Jus, 14 ounces with baked Idaho potato, vegetable, horseradish sauce and sour cream, or Pan-Seared North Atlantic Salmon with wild rice pilaf, sautéed spinach and chive beurre blanc, each served with a choice of garden salad or cup of soup and a pint of house beer or glass of house wine, for just $21.95.

Founded by home brewers Kevin Finn and Mark Edelson and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, DE in 1996, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has blossomed from one restaurant and brewery to nine locations across the mid-Atlantic with a tenth location in Voorhees, NJ scheduled to open in 2013.  Each restaurant is dedicated to producing and serving top-quality hand-crafted beers and cuisine in a warm and hospitable setting, and all are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
