Neighborhood Votes "Yes" on New Grocery

A new grocery store is one step closer to coming to the edge of Mt. Airy.

The Northwest is one step closer to getting a new grocery store.

Newsworks is reporting that local neighborhood and civics groups gave the grocery store a "yes" vote at a recent Chew and Belfield Neighbors Club meeting, meaning the store will go to city's zoning board with the area's blessing.

East Mt. Airy Neighbors were present at the meeting.
