Mt. Airy BID Voted on Board Members

Meet the board members serving the next two terms.

The Mt. Airy Business Improvement District voted on its board candidates for the 2012-2013 year at its meeting in September.

Meet the following five members, who will serve two-year terms lasting until 2014.

Yvonne Haskins: Haskins, an attorney who focuses on real estate law, affordable houses and economic development projects, owns property at 6751 Germantown Avenue. She is the founder of New Directions for Women, a halfway house for women serving time in county jail.   

Michael Schweisheimer: Schweisheimer is the founder and executive producer of Mt. Airy-based video production company Primitive World Productions. He owns property at 6368 Germantown Avenue.

Ken Weinstein: Weinstein is a partner in PhillyOfficeRetail.com, which has renovated more than 150 vacant commercial and residential units in the city. He is the owner of the Trolley Car Cafe since 2000 and a director at Valley Green Bank.

Deborah Gray: Gray is the president of DHEx Enterprises, a company that sales electronic equipment. She retired with 28 years of USAF military and federal government experience in information technology. She owns property at 6353 Germantown Avenue.

Traci Nickens: Nickens, born and raised in Mt. Airy, is the owner of Nickens Insurance Agency. She owns property at 6747 Germantown Avenue.
