Moms Eat Local: Cafette

Find out how kid-friendly Cafette in Chestnut Hill is.

Moms know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if Cafette is a good place to eat with your children.

Restaurant:

Is there a kids’ menu? Not officially but there are plenty of kid-friendly items including a "kids country breakfast", salads, grilled cheese, tomato soup, falafel, pasta, mashed potatoes and rice.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The tomato soup, falafel, salads and pasta are pretty healthy. The tofu scramble is quite healthy. Also notable are that the eggs are local and the sausage is nitrate-free.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert your server and they will be as accommodating as possible.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Depends on how filled the dining room is.
