Hideaway Celebrates 10 Years Saturday

The indie record story celebrates itself with a free show Saturday.

Hideaway music, Chestnut Hill's independent record store, is turing 10 in style.

The store is celebrating a decade of existence on the hill with a party at its shop on Saturday, Nov 3.

The main attraction of the event is a live performance by John Wesley Harding, free, at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The store is also offering 10 percent off on all purchases made in the store on Saturday, as well as prizes for customers who "like" the store on Facebook.

First prize is a boxiest from either the Velvet Underground, the Beatles, Woody Guthrie, the Greatful Dead or a funk and soul compilation.

Second and third places area 10th anniversary t-shirt and a 10th anniversary poster, respectively.
