Grace Kelly's Childhood Home Painted by Local Company

CertaPro Painters, of Crittenden Street took on the iconic Philadelphian's childhood residence.

As an iconic actress turned princess, Grace Kelly is a name most people know. Most Philadelphians also know that she grew up in East Falls. For Lee Plummer, the owner of CertaPro Painters in Chestnut Hill, the familiarity was heightened with his latest residential painting project.

Plummer was recently hired to paint the exterior of Grace Kelly’s childhood home in Philadelphia. The East Falls landmark and 17-room mansion’s soffits, windows, dormers and door frames were scraped and repainted in order to maintain the look and integrity of the home.

“This project has been a great experience for me as a business owner,” said Plummer. “It’s extremely rewarding to know that the homeowner trusts the CertaPro brand to tackle such a high-profile job. The project is definitely a career highlight.”
