Goat Hollow Hiring Staff, Closer to Opening

The Mt. Airy restaurant wants to hire from within the neighborhood.

Goat Hollow is one step closer to re-opening, according to one of the restaurant's owners.

Andy Shahan, who is Neil Campbell's partner in the venture, said in an email that the restaurant is currently looking to hire front-of-house staff.

"We are now fielding applications for bartenders, servers, food runners bussers and host/hostess," he said. "It is important to us that a good portion of the positions are applied for by people who live in the neighborhood."

Goat Hollow used to exist at the corner of Mt. Pleasant Avenue and Lincoln Drive before closing about seven years ago. It became Angie Brown's for a short while, but the building has been vacant for several years.

The restaurant's opening date is still forthcoming.
