Dentist Complains of Music Studio Noise

Maplewood Music studio and made news moving pianos into the second floor space above the using cranes.

But now, the studio is the focus of Michael Mendlow’s attention, who has a next door.

Mendlow came to last week’s Land Use, Planning and Zoning committee of the Chestnut Hill Community Association to make his case against the music instruction studio.

“The noise and vibration coming from the music studio is disturbing my business. Recently, drum playing has started in the rear-most part by my business. Last week, it happened while having a consultation and had to dismiss the patient,” Mendlow said.

The dentist stated that he tried to take up his concerns with the landlord, but the property owner would not come up to hear the noise.

Mendlow said he is considering taking legal action. The committee heard Mendlow’s statement, and committee member of Vice President of the Physical Division Joyce Lenhardt assured him that the matter would be discussed at the next Executive Committee meeting of the Chestnut Hill Community Association.
