Restaurants and shops across town will have specials this Sunday.

Second Sunday is a special Sunday in Chestnut Hill as restaurants and shops across town offer specials on food, shopping and entertainment.

The idea is that people come into town for brunch and then explore the shops on Germantown Avenue.

Here's a list of who's providing what this Second Sunday from the Chestnut Hill Business Association:

  • Gravers Lane Gallery:  Dog Days for Dad…Free Hotdogs & Donuts…Shop for Pop and bring your pup.  Noon to 3:00 p.m.
  • Baker Street Bread: New this month…Banana Chocolate chunk quick bread.  Mixed berry parfaits and new delicious double chocolate Nutella brownies.  Bread of the month is Pepperoni.
  • Chestnut Hill Sports:  Sandal Sale…Nike, Under Armour, Adidas and Teva.  Also, Nike Free Running Sneakers are 30% off.
  • Chestnut 7:  Kids eat free on Sundays (one child per adult).
  • McNally’s Tavern:  Second Sunday Special…BLT and iced tea, plus McNally’s famous Gazpacho soup or any other of their homemade soups.  Just $10.45

  • Kids Visit Free on Second Sunday with a paying adult where the Big Bugs Exhibit will be on display at The Morris Arboretum
  • Pianist, Andrew Hsu, performs Debussy at Woodmere Art Museum – 3:00 to 4:30 pm
  • Northwestern Stables is hosting a Horse & Car Wash from 9 to Noon…get your car or your horse cleaned from head to toe.

The following shops are also participating in Second Sunday in Chestnut Hill: The Bone Appetite, Indigo Schuy, Chestnut Hill Sports, Roots Inc, Cake, Baker Street Bread Co., Lavender Hill and El Quetzal, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
