"The Mt. Airy Literary Festival is so exciting to me on many levels: as a parent, as a writer, as a teacher and as a community member, " says writer Cordelia Jensen in a press release.

Jensen recently signed a book deal to write a young adult verse novel.

Jensen added, "It is so important that kids get to meet authors personally; it shows them that there is a face and personality behind the creative work. Also, all of our activities like yoga, music, games and story times all can work to inspire the children's own creative process. Not to mention the fact that the festival attracts all kinds of Philly residents to our spirited Mt. Airy Village."
