Morris Arboretum Garden Railway Grand Opening

 Morris Arboretum, 100 E. Northwestern Ave., on Saturday, May 28 from 10am-5pm
- Why Go
: With a changing theme each year, the Garden Railway is a miniature world set in the splendor of a summer garden, featuring historic buildings created entirely of natural materials.
Pricing: Free with regular admission: Youth (3 to 17), student, and active military $7, adult $16, senior (65+) $14, hike, bike, or SEPTA $7.

 Bredenbeck’s Decorate-A-Cupcake Night
- Where/When: 
Bredenbeck’s Bakery and Ice Cream Parlor, 8126 Germantown Ave., on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Why Go: The bakery will provide you with chocolate or vanilla cupcakes and all the fixings to make it your own.

 Live Music at Infusion Coffee and Tea Gallery
- Where/When:

 Poetry Aloud and Alive at Big Blue Marble Bookstore

Big Blue Marble Books, 551 Carpenter Lane, on Friday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Hosted by local poet Mike Cohen, the event features one reader, and then an open mic to end the night. This week meet Camelia Nocella at the gathering.

 Mad River Manayank’s Annual Memorial Day Sunday Funday
- Where/When: 
Mad River, 4100 Main St., on Sunday until midnight
Why Go:  Celebrate Memorial Day in style at this annual outdoor deck party. $2 you-call-its, $2 frozen Miami Vice and margaritas, and $1 hot dogs all day.
Pricing: Varies; deals from $1 to $2 on hot dogs and assorted drinks.

 “Kick for Kids” Memorial Day Weekend Kickball Tournament
- Where/When: 
Kendrick Recreation Center, 5822 Ridge Ave, Friday through Sunday
- Why Go:
 The tournament benefits the children of North Light Community Center. Your registration gets you access to the Tournament events: Friday kick-off party, Saturday and Sunday kickball tournament, and Sunday awards banquet.
Pricing: Team Registration: $200; Individual Registration: $30
