Roundtable to Turn Parking Lot into Art

Germantown artists will work on turning a parking spot into art during Parking Day on Sept. 20.

The following is a press release from the Germantown Artists Roundtable

Germantown artists will transform a parking spot on Chelten Avenue & Greene Street into an art spot on Friday, September 20, 9-5 as part of a citywide Parking Day event. (across from library)

You are invited to stop by and enjoy the art salon, yarn bombing, street installation, poetry circle and African drummers throughout the day.

Among the artists participating are Renny Molenaar, Adrienne Morrison, Ife Nil Owoo, Melissa Haims, Susan Mangan, Roccio Cabello, Tieshka Smith, Gary Reed, Jill Saul, Terri Lyons and African drummers Master Mohammed’s troupe Sabruyalla and Baba Tyrone.

Germantown has a thriving artistic community ready to bring its gifts to the street-stop by and enjoy it.
