Poet Mike Cohen will host an event at the Big Blue Marble bookstore in Mt. Airy on Thursday Oct. 17.

The following is a press release from Big Blue Marble Bookstore.

On Thursday, October 17 at 7:00 PM, poet Mike Cohen will read from his collection Between the I’s and all proceeds from the sale of his book will benefit Big Blue Marble Bookstore’s efforts to get an ecommerce website up and running.

Currently Mike hosts Poetry Aloud and Alive, a popular monthly poetry program in its eighth year at Mt. Airy’s Big Blue Marble Bookstore.  “I'd just like … to thank Big Blue Marble for being such an asset to the community and a gracious host to Poetry Aloud and Alive,” Cohen said.

Cohen’s poetic philosophy is: “Poetry doesn’t have the answers, it’s just a beautiful way of putting the questions.”

Reflective, philosophical, and humorous, Cohen's writing is an ongoing attempt to make sense of this life and this universe.

It addresses the Big Bang and the little bumps as well. There is no topic too meaningful or too nonsensical.
