Hark! The Pennsylvania Girlchoir Sings!

The Pennsylvania Girlchoir convened at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill for two sold-out performances of Christmas favorites Sunday.

The ensemble was directed under the baton of Mark Anderson, Jodi Bohr, Stephen Spinelli and Nathan Wadley.

The choral group, comprised of more than 160 young women from six Pennsylvania counties, performed more than 25 holiday pieces to a sold-out crowd.

Several times throughout the program, the director invited audience participation. Those in attendance were asked to join in on the festivities by singing along to Christmas favorites such as "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", "Deck the Halls," "Jingle Bells" and others.

In addition to a number of beautifully performed Christmas songs by the group, soprano Kara Mulder brought the audience to its feet with a solo rendition of "O Holy Night".
