Fall Arts Fest Cancelled for Sunday, Moved to Rain Date

The festival has been moved due to bad weather predictions.

The Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival has been cancelled for this Sunday and will be moved to its rain date, October 14.

According to Peggy Miller, a spokesperson for the Chestnut Hill Business Association, weather was the main factor in pushing the event back a week.

"There is just no good weather forecast for this Sunday," she said. "This is such a big event that we had to make the decision."

Miller said that the CHBA expects to retain most of the artists and performers scheduled to be a part of the festival.

"We will be able to keep almost all of the artists involved," she said. "We might lose a few here and there, but we will gain some other ones who would have been busy this Sunday."

The Fall Arts Festival is scheduled for October 14 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"We've had great weather the last few years, but I guess our luck has run out," Miller said.
