Plymouth Meeting Friends School, Steinbright Auditorium
Based on real events that took place in Billings, Montana in 1993, this thought-provoking musical tells the story of what happens when a young girl takes a stand against ethnic intimidation. When a rock is thrown through the window of her best friend’s house during Hanukkah, Caroline must struggle against the fear and indifference of their neighbors. In the process she learns about the power of friendship, and we all discover that one person really can make a difference.

Activist Tammie Schnitzer, whose story inspired the musical, will be in attendance at both performances, and participate in a talkback with the cast and director after the Friday performance. She will also be available after the Saturday performance at an informal reception following the show.

At PMFS, the sixth grade musical is a culminating central experience revolving around creativity, teamwork, learning about the world around us, and self discovery. Students also learn about responsibility and leadership, and discover parts of themselves they never knew existed.
Plymouth Meeting Friends School is a PreK (ages 3 & 4) – 6th grade Quaker school that offers a vigorous, creative curriculum in a caring environment.
