“A Raisin in the Sun,” written by Leslie Hansberry, portrays the life of the Youngers, an African-American family dealing with their fears, frustrations, longings and dreams during the emergence of the Civil Rights Movement, and growing awareness of feminism while living on the South Side of Chicago in the 1950s.

Proceeds from the performances will benefit Lupus Awareness. Tickets are for $10 for adults, $5 for students with I.D. and free for seniors. Note: This production contains strong language. For more information, please contact Allan Michael-Meads at arits2012@gmail.com.
