Aaren has worked as an insightful leadership consultant in New Jersey since 2006. His works with 60 of the current Fortune 100, nonprofits, government agencies and individuals. Until 2005 Aaren ran Education Action Resources, producing a long-running TV show on writing, distributing multimedia exhibits on nonviolence, delivering multimedia job training programs. He was technical and operations director at a major independent theater and helped develop an online appeals group for a health services corporation. He helped build and managing teams for capital fundraising, including a million dollar campaign for WILPF, an international women's rights organization.

Aaren has traveled in numerous countries and performed at venues from the Philadelphia Fringe and World Café to the Nuyorican. He is an invited speaker at schools, colleges and conferences including Philadelphia's Welcome America celebration, MLA and PWC. He is published in magazines and newspapers, and has appeared on NPR and regional TV broadcasts. 

Father, Capoeirista, Shambhala warrior, he speaks Spanish and holds an MFA in Writing from Vermont College, Aaren is the author of three collections -- Poetry Across the Curriculum (Pearson Publishers, 1997); Mercury Calling (Melodyvision, 2000); Open Fire (Whirldwind Press, 2004). He was called the best teacher of poetry the evaluator had ever seen by the PA Council on the Humanities in 2005 and is the recipient of a State Arts Council Writing Fellowship.
