Grumblethorpe’s education program serves children from the John B. Kelly School, John Wister school, De Paul Catholic school, HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy, Germantown Friends, and Green Street Friends. Using the Grumblethorpe Historic Site as their classroom, elementary students learn history, horticulture, science and math through hands-on activities that support the academic curriculum. Middle school and high-school students serve as museums guides, work as Grumblethorpe Farm Stand assistants, farm their own garden plots, and demonstrate 18th century crafts-- all in their own neighborhood of Historic Germantown!
