May 5, 2012 (Saturday), 7:00 p.m.
Free admission.

One woman, one hour, one show.

Written and performed by: Melissa McBain
Directed by: Jane Stojak

Mission
"To tell my mother's story where it all began--to make the audience laugh and cry as they witness Ann Fountain's courage and hear her Juilliard and Steinway winning piano competitions come alive."

Description
"Through Depression –Era letters, telegrams, and recordings McBain portrays Ann Fountain’s coming of age as a child star from Moorestown, New Jersey and then as a bold lover with a young Rittenhouse Square seminarian. The playwright resurrects her mother’s former glory as she deals with her death. Based on a true Philadelphia story and star."

The playwright was named Quad City Arts Outstanding Artist in 2005 and Distinguished Drama Educator and Arts Advocate by Illinois Alliance in 2008. Rave reviews as an actor. See DOUBT: A PARABLE.
