First Saturday Reception August 6 to meet the artist Lauren Sweeney and view her work in this ongoing show of "Nature's Bounty", accompanied by complimentary wine and appetizers with that unique Geechee Girl Cafe flair. Her watercolor paintings focus on the lush qualities of fruits, vegetables and flowers, as befits a restaurant that specializes in inventive uses of fresh produce.
The exhibit continues through August. It can be viewed through the month while enjoying a meal at the restaurant (summer hours: Dinner Wed-Thurs 5:30-9; Sat & Sun 5:30-10; Sun brunch 11-2:30).
