Chestnut Hill Book Festival: Everything You Need to Know

A breakdown of events happening at the Chestnut Hill Book Festival.

Hitting the books hard this summer doesn't have to hit your wallet hard because the third annual Chestnut Hill Book Festival is completely free. The festival takes place July 9 and 10, but a special preview is scheduled for the evening of Friday, July 8 at the Venetian Club where there will be a First Person Arts Story Slam.

"It should be lots of fun," said Kate O'Neill of the Chestnut Hill Business Association. "It really just a community benefit. The Business Association pays for it because we just love to think of things to showcase our commercial corridor."

In addition to the Business Association's sponsorship, the festival is also being sponsored by Joseph Fox Books, from Center City. Even though the event is a book festival, there will be much more involved than just books. See below for more information:
