What's Open, Closed, Christmas Day

A list of local stores, shops and restaurants and their hours on Dec. 25.

With the exception of a few restaurants and good ol' Starbucks, most places in Chestnut Hill, including grocery stores and pharmacies, are closed today, Dec. 25. If you need to run out for milk, though, the Acme in Mt. Airy will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., , too.

Post Offices, Banks & Government Buildings

All city government offices will be closed through the weekend and on Monday. That means post offices and across the country won't be open and mail won't be delivered.

Banks will be closed today, as well as Monday, Dec. 26.

Transportation

SEPTA's Chestnut Hill East and Chestnut Hill West lines will both be running on reduced schedules today, with trains running every two hours. Chestnut Hill East will run from 6:29 a.m. to 10:29 p.m. with trains every two hours, and Chestnut Hill West will run from 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 p.m., with trains running every two hours.
