Week Ahead: Limited Parking, Community Association Meets

It's a slow week events-wise as people gear up and get ready for the Fourth of July week and weekend, but here are some of this week's highlights.

Limited Parking: There will be limited parking at the Upper Valley Green Parking Lot on Valley Green Road in Wissahickon Valley Park will be limited beginning Monday, June 24, due to preliminary project work by the Friends of the Wissahickon.  The parking lot will close on July 1.

Chestnut Hill Community Association: The Chestnut Hill Community Association will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at the Chestnut Hill Branch of the Free Library at 7:30 p.m..  Agenda items include: grant allocations, audit findings and a fundraising update.

Summer Concert Continues: The summer concert series continues on Wednesday in Pastorius Park at 7:30 p.m.  This week The John Byrne Band comes to town.  Organizers describe their sound as "rousing celtic music."

Story Time: Morris Arboretum will host a story time on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m.  Librarians will be on hand to read stories, and then story goers are invited to take a walk in the garden.  Admission is free.
