Town Watch to Celebrate 25 years

A special meeting of the Mt. Airy Town Watch will be held on Tuesday to celebrate the organization's 25th anniversary.

The Mt. Airy Town Watch will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, June 4, to celebrate the organization’s 25th anniversary.

Started in 1988 to make the neighborhood safer, the Town Watch has grown to cover neighborhoods on Mt. Airy Avenue, Nippon Street, Bryan Street and Cresheim Road.

Organizer Steve Stroiman has invited members of the community to come to the meeting and share stores about what makes their neighborhood unique.

Stroiman encourages neighbors to attend the meeting and “share your stories and anecdotes, or simply come and hear what your neighbors have to say about this vibrant corner of Mt. Airy.”

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 4, at 7:30 p.m., at 124 W. Mt. Airy Ave.
