Then and Now: Revealed

The location of last week's photograph is revealed.

Last week, I asked readers to identify the location where a black and white photo of a stately home was taken.

Exactly zero people guessed.  I hope everyone was just stumped and not bored with this column.

The location of the house is 9002 Crefeld St. in Chestnut Hill.  The photo was taken in 1952, and the home belonged to a Mrs. Eleanor Widener Dixon.

Thanks for playing (or reading in this case), and check back next week for another round of "Then and Now."

I think people like the idea of a "then and now" quiz. It's just that when you use a photo of a private house, with no apparent historical significance (at least you haven't identified any), who's going to guess other than the owner?

I would enjoy having the identity of the previous week's "T & N" revealed with the current quizz - that is, not having to wait two weeks between new submissions.
