Sept. 'Street Fare' Needs Volunteers

Volunteers are needed for Mt. Airy USA's "Street Fare" on Sept. 19.

After the success of Night Market the last two years, Mt. Airy USA has decided to spin off the event into something it can call its own.

“We’re calling it ‘Street Fare,’” said Mt. Airy USA Executive Director Anuj Gupta.   “We’re going to have food trucks come, and we’re going to try to create an atmosphere similar to the Night Market.”

But, in order for the event to happen, Mt. Airy USA needs volunteers.

“The ultimate goal is to draw people into Mt. Airy,” Gupta said.  “We have a growing and dynamic business community, and we want to show that off.”

The fare is set for Thursday, Sept. 19 from 6:30-10 p.m., and it will stretch from the 7000-7200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Mt. Airy USA needs volunteers for a variety of tasks the day of the event in order to makeStreet Fare a success! If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please email Elizabeth Moselle at emoselle@mtairyusa.org.
