Over-Sized Load Blocks Germantown Ave. Wednesday
For about 15 minutes around noon, a truck carrying a construction vehicle blocked both side of Germantown.
Just before noon on Wednesday, an over-sized load tied up traffic on both sides of Germantown Avenue. The truc was maneuvering a tight turn onto West Highland Avenue, and traffic was backed up northbound nearly to Southampton Avenue and southbound past Chestnut Hill Avenue.
After four or five traffic lights, the truck cleared the turn with the help of some volunteers who directed it around the corner.
