Norwood-Fontbonne Academy students bring Thanksgiving to Kensington neighborhood

Giving thanks at Thanksgiving also means sharing that for which we are grateful at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy (NFA). In the spirit of service to neighbors, NFA students have spent the month of November collecting everything needed to complete a full Thanksgiving dinner plus extras for a needy family.  Each homeroom sponsored a family, collecting the specified items from the turkey to all the fixings, desserts, table decorations, and essential supplies to stock the pantry. On a recent cold rainy Tuesday, NFA 6th graders brought warmth and sunshine to the Kensington neighborhood delivering over 50 Thanksgiving dinner packages along with an additional 40 turkeys to families served by the parish.  Fr. Jim Brennan, parish pastor, expressed his gratitude to the students and to NFA.  "In this act of great generosity, you bring blessings to others so they may also experience the fullness of Thanksgiving,” he said.
