Boy Scouting offers families a way to help their sons grow up to be the best kind of young men by following the Scout Oath and Law. Recruitment is open to boys ages 11 – 15 and boys can stay in the Troop until their 18th birthday. Scouting offers fun, citizenship training, outdoor skills, emergency preparedness, and advancement through service and leadership. Troop 1719 is also dedicated to precision drill using the Scout Quarterstaff. Quarterstaff drill emphasizes fitness, coordination, teamwork and trust.
BSA Troop 1719 meets on Wednesday evenings at the First United Methodist Church of Germantown. Joining fee is $65, not including uniform and camping gear.
