Table Tennis, Wildflowers This Tuesday in Chestnut Hill
Earth Bread and Brewery will host Table Tennis, and the Morris Arboretum will host a wildflower workshop.
Here's what's going on Tuesday in Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill.
Table Tennis: Head on down to Earth Bread and Brewery for some table tennis every Tuesday starting at 9 p.m. There's also two dollar drafts on select beers.
Wildflower Workshop: There will be a wildflower workshop at Morris Arboretum Tuesday. Here's how the Arboretum describes it: "Taught by Dr. Ann Rhoads, Retired Director of Botany, Morris Arboretum Goldenrods and asters are the most conspicuous components of the fall wildflower display. We will start by examining the characteristics that define the Asteraceae, the family to which both belong. The bulk of our time will be spent using keys to identify species. Part of the course time will be spent indoors in order to use dissecting microscopes to become familiar with the fine details of these plants’ flowering heads. We will also explore the meadows at the Arboretum to see some species in situ. Please bring your lunch and something to drink.
